Transformers Lost Light issue 8 Sub cover lineart

So here is the lineart for issue 8 cover I did for Lost Light
This cover has a very deep meaning to me in that it deals with grief and how one chooses to deal with it.
It was an idea I had told James a while back when I was dealing with the sudden loss of one of my cats.  They are part of of my family and losing one so suddenly really effected me.  One way I deal with it was to come up with a story idea about how does a transformer deal with grief who has never been through all the millions of years of war the others have.  How would they deal with it, losing someone they cared about while the others can go on like nothing happened.  This was an idea I had since I knew for a fairly long time that Skids was going to die, and Nautica and him were growing closer in the book.  I thought this would be the first time that someone close to her had died in this manner and she now has to come to grips with that, but is angered by the others not seeming not to care.  Only thing is they have had millions of years of losing ones they cared about and have found a way to press on while dealing with the loss, she hasn't yet. 
Clearly that wasn't how it was dealt with in the comics, and whatever, I wasn't thrilled with how it was handled in the comics and told James as much.  He could have done better IMO but that's just me.
So I still wanted to do something of my original idea in art form, so I did this cover.  It still has something to do with the story that's in the issue, but the meaning of this is not the same, and only a few people know the deep meaning of this cover.
Maybe one day if I get some free time I will write and draw out the idea I had, just for the sake of doing it and getting some closure on some of these feeling I have.

Anyhoo, did a little more rendering in the lineart for this one.  It's nice to do things a bit different from how you usually handle the art.  I'm pretty pleased with how final image turned out.  I'm also happy that not to long ago the original art was acquired by someone who I know appreciates the deeper meaning of the art and it also has some meaning with what is going on in their life.  So i know it's in a good home
