Description

well this was a special cover i got the chance to work on. The owner of the comic shop i go to asked me if i was interested in doing a cover for and store exclusive book. this was something that we had talked about many times in the past but there hadn't been a transformers one to do....until now ;p
the owner pitched the idea to me about doing a cover, but was unsure about doing it since he wasn't aware about where the books fit into the main stories. i asked what books he was offered a cover for. he mentioned a G.I.Joe one, then a tf comic about megatron. i was like ok.....then i was like, wait, what, megatron? do you mean spotlight megatron? then i was like OMG i want to do that :D
so after a discussion that day, i came up with some roughs. the owner and i went over them, and then i whipped up the cover. it was a blast to do. i love drawing this design of megatron. i know its not the most loved design, but i do enjoy drawing it. i added the store logo in the bottom cover plus a couple extra decepticons that i knew the owner liked :) it was a joy to work on
so this will be a store exclusive comic. i will have a few copies that people will be able to get from me at the various conventions i will be at, but other then from me, stadiums comics will be the only place you'll be able to get this cover of the book
here is a like to there store [link]
here a link to there facebook for the in store signing i will be doing [link]

well , back to work for me
enjoy :)

I agree that this B2 Spirit stealth bomber version of Megatron deserved more applause than it got. It was one of the only airborne versions of him that made both practical and symbolic sense considering his role among the Decepticons. The repeating theme of the long parallel lines in this design's many air intakes gave him a distinctive look that didn't interfere with the overall silhouette. He looked state-of-the-art, classic, AND brutally built. Yet, his head, face, and forearm-mounted cannon made him easily recognizable even in his new form. It was a great design!

Also, good call on including the store owner's two other favorite Decepticons in the background! That's the sort of extra elbow grease that will be remembered for decades to come.
