since the new movie is so close to coming out, i figured i'd show this off now.
i did this pic for my friends over at tfw2005. we discussed this at last years botcon. they wanted a picture done of their character boombox. now they wanted a movie version of him, and since i've been drawing movie tf's for a while, they asked me if i do a movie style picture of there character. i jumped at the chance.
since boombox is based on a JVC audio system i figured i'd give him a frenzy look to his movie style. but since his alt mode is much larger then frenzy, i beefed up his robot mode a bit more.

now i did look at what the original robot for boombox looked like, and took that into consideration when i was designing his movie version. however, i realized that movie bots don't need to look like their g1 styled appearance. so for the most part, i just designed him on the fly.

i know that tfw was going to do something with him for there site, but since the movie is so close now, i'm just going to show him off. mainly because it's a new pic that i have been just itching to show off too.

it transforms into a jvc boombox. there are pics of it on tfw2005. i guess you'd have to ask them if you could use it since its there character.

Great job! Awesome detail. Heh, yeah guess when you work on a TF comic based on the Dreamworks films all that design work would get ingrained in your head and coming out with your own designs would be pretty gnarly fun to do.
