so it was shown off in an interview so i can finally show off the cover for 13 now

i won't say whats going on just in case i'd be giving too much away, and i do believe that James would hate it if i ruined the surprise to the issue
all i will say is it was amazing fun to draw

issue 13 hits comic shelves on the 6th of feb

I love this, Alex! Great work! Although these guys differ slightly from how they appear in the book. Was that your own choice or guidance from James?

i designed these guys before the book was started on by Guido. these are how they would have looked if i was working on interiors for issue 13.
James and i went over the designs and if he changed anything it was after this cover was done. the only thing i know i would change is how verity looks on the cover from how she'd look in the interiors. but the cover is suppose to be a fun day at the beach for "shore leave" so her look on the cover i felt was appropriate for the that idea.

So you are the one responsible for those designs. Man, I could just kiss you! It's kind of a novelty gimmick but it totally doesn't feel forced within the context of MTMTE. I assume that this is a light hearted romp before the shit hits the fan in upcoming issues?
